Villa Fioriamo is situated in a truly special location: just above Montefioralle, in the heart of the Chianti region. We chose this spot very deliberately because we find Montefioralle so beautiful and because it is so centrally located. Here, everything feels close at hand: the tranquility of the hills, the charm of an ancient village, and the magnificent cities and towns of Tuscany surrounding us. Every day, we enjoy these surroundings anew.

Montefioralle itself is a stunning medieval fortified village near Greve in Chianti, and is renowned as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It sits atop a hill, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and rolling Tuscan landscapes. As soon as you walk through the ancient gates, it feels as though time has stood still. The narrow streets, stone houses, old city walls, and quiet squares give the village a unique atmosphere of its own.

The history of Montefioralle is equally remarkable. The village’s origins date back to the eleventh century, developing around an ancient castle. Its circular, defensive structure is still clearly recognizable in the village’s layout. Montefioralle once played a strategic role between Florence and Siena, but today it is primarily a place of peace, beauty, and Tuscan simplicity.

We walk here every day with the dogs or drive down to the village for groceries, and yet it remains extraordinary. We constantly discover something new: a glimpse of the hills, the light falling differently on the vineyards, flowering plants along ancient walls, or simply the silence of the village during a quiet moment. It is precisely this daily beauty that makes this place so special to us. We hope, of course, that our guests will soon feel it too: the combination of history, landscape, tranquility, and the good Italian life, literally just around the corner.
