Dining out is a natural part of your day here. A lunch in the sun, a glass of wine in the afternoon, or a long evening at the table. Around Villa Fioriamo, you will find plenty of places to choose from. Whether you are a lover of rustic trattorias, elegant fine dining, or authentic agriturismo, Chianti offers something for everyone.
What you will find on the menu
The menus are usually not long, but what is served is fresh and prepared with care. The menu features dishes such as ribollita, pappa al pomodoro, and fresh pastas like pici or tagliatelle with wild boar ragu. Full of flavor and often made with local produce and high-quality olive oil. Chianti wine is a natural accompaniment, as are dishes featuring game or regional pecorino. With a glass of wine and a view over the hills, you will easily find yourself staying longer than planned.
Useful information
Please make your reservations in advance, especially during the high season. Feel free to ask for the house wine, which is often surprisingly good. Let the staff advise you, as they know the local specialties better than anyone. Above all, take your time, because in Chianti it is all about enjoyment, not haste.
Il Re Gallo – Castellina in Chianti (19km)
An absolute must if you wish to dine in Castellina. The location is typically Italian and the menu is excellent. It is renowned for its seasonal products and creative dishes.
La Vecchia Capannina – San Donato in Poggio (approx. 12 km)
Authentic family restaurant serving classic Tuscan dishes in a warm, rustic atmosphere. Excellent food. Also features a large terrace.
Osteria Le Panzanelle – Radda in Chianti (approx. 12km)
A true favorite and very popular with the local population. You might easily drive past it if you didn’t know it was there, as it is not located in a tourist area and lacks a large, prominent terrace.
Delicious food, excellent value for money, and a cozy atmosphere. Often fully booked!
Dudda – Dudda (approx. 10 km)
Hidden gem with a rustic atmosphere and authentic dishes. Excellent food at a competitive price, away from the crowds.
Ristoro di Lamole – Lamole (approx. 16km)
This restaurant is undoubtedly one of our favorites. The drive there is beautiful in itself, but the restaurant is even better ;-). It is stunningly located, offering spectacular views over the hills and an excellent menu. The staff is also exceptionally friendly. It is often fully booked, so please ensure you make a reservation in advance.
Ristorante Oltre il Giardino – Panzano in Chianti (approx. 7 km)
Elegant dining with local ingredients in a tranquil setting. Beautiful terrace covered with wisteria (when in bloom ;-))
Ristorante Il Vescovino – Panzano (approx. 7km)
One of our top recommendations. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is typically Italian, both indoors and out. The terrace offers a panoramic view, and the beautiful village of Panzano is located nearby.
Antica Scuderia – Badia a Passignano (approx. 5 km)
Unique, historic setting with excellent service and an extensive wine list. Higher price range.
Locanda Poggio al Sole – Badia a Passignano (4 km)
Highly recommended! It is very close by. Delicious and affordable food, right near the beautiful village of Badia a Passignano. The terrace is spacious and offers a magnificent view. Their own wines are delightful (and organic).
Cantinetta di Rignana – Rignana (4 km)
Atmospheric, nestled among the vineyards, with an extensive menu full of traditional Tuscan dishes. It features a lovely covered terrace with beautiful views. This is the place that made us fall in love with this specific part of the region and inspired us to live nearby. It is very close and highly recommended!
