Greve in Chianti is the heart of the Chianti wine region. It is an excellent location for wine tasting or a relaxing lunch. On the triangular square, you can enjoy coffee under the arcades, browse wine shops and delicatessens, or dine at a trattoria. A regular market is held on Saturday mornings, and an organic market takes place every 4th Sunday of the month. Furthermore, various activities and festivals are hosted here.
Greve is located only 2.3 km from our villa. Here, you will find a variety of facilities, such as a supermarket, pharmacy, first aid, veterinarian, and more. You can also rent bicycles here, for example. We would be delighted to assist you with any arrangements!

Badia a Passignano is an atmospheric location centered around an ancient abbey, surrounded by cypresses and vineyards. It is truly impressive when arriving from the north and driving towards our location; it feels like a fairy tale. This village is particularly interesting if you appreciate history, tranquility, and fine dining. You can visit the monastery, view the frescoes, and subsequently enjoy lunch at one of the nearby restaurants. You can also taste Chianti wines from the surrounding estates here. It is a place where culture and gastronomy converge, and where you will naturally find yourself staying a little longer.
Directly adjacent to the abbey, the restaurants are somewhat higher priced. If you drive towards our location, you will pass Poggio al Sole. That restaurant features a beautiful terrace overlooking Badia, offers excellent cuisine, and is competitively priced. The wine is also delicious.

Panzano is situated on a hilltop and offers stunning views of the surrounding vineyards. The village is renowned for its artisanal butcher, Dario Cecchini, who is a must-visit for meat enthusiasts. Panzano features a charming village center with small shops and inviting cafés. The Church of Santa Maria Assunta and the annual wine festival make it a compelling destination for an authentic Tuscan experience.

San Donato in Poggio is a small, walled village that exudes charm through its medieval architecture. Wander through the cobbled streets past ancient houses, enjoy the views over the Tuscan hills, and sample local wines in one of the cozy taverns. In Castellina, you will also find various wine cellars where you can taste the famous Chianti Classico. There are also delightful terraces and restaurants. You can take a beautiful tour to Castellina and then continue to Radda in Chianti, which is also a characteristic village. You might also drive via Volpaia and return through Panzano. Naturally, you can enjoy excellent food everywhere. We certainly have some recommendations!
